Professor Simon Pollard

Simon is Head of the Sustainable Systems Department in the School of Applied Sciences at Cranfield University (UK). His Department has an international portfolio of research, postgraduate training and consultancy in energy and offshore technology, waste management and resource efficiency and water science and technology. Simon is a member of the Bonn Network advisory board and is the principal investigator for AwwaRF-funded research on ‘Risk analysis strategies for better and more credible decision-making’ (RFP2939) and ‘Developing a risk management culture – mindfulness in the international water utility sector’ (TC3184). He is an Associate Editor for Science of the Total Environment and Environment International and has published 250 papers, professional reports and conference communications.
